Frame your own art, in a day, by your own hand.
Bring a piece you love and spend an unhurried day in a working framing studio, learning to mount, build and finish a frame to gallery standard — then take it home the same afternoon.
Bring a piece you love and spend an unhurried day in a working framing studio, learning to mount, build and finish a frame to gallery standard — then take it home the same afternoon.
The class is run by Frank Marker Framers, an independent conservation framing studio in Govan, and led one-to-one by a professional framer. No experience is needed — complete beginners are the norm.
You bring one flat piece up to A3 — a print, a photograph, your own artwork, a textile or a keepsake — and you do the work: choosing the mount and moulding, mounting the piece, mitring the frame, and fitting anti-UV art glass. You leave with it finished and ready to hang.
Good to know: the studio has its own free, secure parking right at the door — a genuine rarity for a city framing studio, and one less thing to think about on the day.
"You come away with something to be super proud of. We'd highly recommend it!"
"Massively exceeded expectations. I learned so much in one day — and it fulfilled a craving to do something practical, away from a screen!"
"Delighted with the result — even more so knowing I made it myself, with guidance from a passionate expert."
